critical daily tasks. We have an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Sales
Consultant!
The Pre-Sales Consultant would also be responsible for working
collaboratively with the Product, Content and PS Delivery teams. The
Consultant would also be responsible for handling any technical
questions or issues which arise during the sales cycle and for setting
appropriate customer expectations. He/she would also be expected to work
closely with the Delivery Team to ensure projects are delivered as per
the SOW, and they would also be engaged during the project close to
explore future enhancements or distinct projects with the client.
The US PreSales Consultant would be responsible for driving PS revenue
and jointly identifying, qualifying and closing PS projects specifically
related to:

CRM/portal related engagements (for
which any of our solutions could be a fit)

Optionally, the PreSales Consultant
could be engaged on other significant and complex projects at the
request of the Sales Director or VP of Sales
Specifically, the Pre-Sales Consultant would be responsible for:
1) assisting the sales team to drive revenue by identifying and
qualifying PS engagements,
2) coordinating and responding to RFP/RFI’s, preparing and delivering
solutions-based product presentations,
3) delivering proof of concepts which meet customer business and
functional requirements, and
4) developing and delivering formal SOWs after consultation with the
Delivery Architects/Developers.
Qualifications and Experience:
The Pre-Sales Consultant is expected to have a BS degree in Business or
Computer Science and 4 or more years of overall technical experience. In
addition, they should have 2 or more years of field Sales experience or
the equivalent combination of consulting, technical and sales skills.
Some of the required technical skills and abilities include a working
knowledge of:

Relational
databases (For example basic
understanding of SQL language)
Microsoft .Net, HTML, RSS, ISS, TCP/IP, Web design tools - Flash,
Dream-weaver etc.

Portal integrations and at least one CRM tool
-
Solid understanding of internet architecture and technology

Creating professional services Statement of Work (SOWs)
-
Web development environments (ASP, VB Script, JSP, Java Script and
J2EE
-
Other development environments (C# or C or VC++, SQL Stored
procedures)

recommend solutions.

Is able to scope the project, estimate time and budget

Must be resourceful, self-motivated, customer focused, and able to
work in a team.
Possesses good presentation skills.

a solution and articulate the business value to a customer.

Is able to handle customer objections by determining the real
business problem, articulating our ability to solve their problems,
and finding creative solutions rather than answering “no”.

Possesses an understanding of sales methodologies and apply them in

sales situation.
