Sage Adopts OneSource Business Browser to Reduce Marketing Costs and Improve Effectiveness

5/8/2003

London, UK —8th May, 2003 — OneSource Information Services Limited a leading provider of business information solutions, today announced that Sage Enterprise, a leading provider of integrated business management software and services, has adopted OneSource® Business BrowserSM products to improve the targeting of its marketing campaigns. As a result, Sage expects to make considerable savings on the cost of every marketing campaign by eliminating list purchase and reducing data cleansing costs. In addition, Sage is improving marketing effectiveness by using the OneSource Web-based information source to access comprehensive company profiles and market analyses, to identify key decision makers faster, and to make quicker decisions regarding product offerings.

“OneSource has exceeded our expectations”, James Melville, Business Analyst at Sage Enterprise Solutions concluded. “We’ve saved money and achieved a more professional approach to our marketing campaigns so that we can more easily achieve ROI targets and ultimately help our resellers bring in more business.”

Sage''s Line500 integrated business management system is sold through a network of Value Added Resellers as well as direct to large organisations. Fast access to accurate and relevant customer data is therefore essential for the company to make strategic business decisions and plan joint marketing campaigns with resellers.

"Our VARs provide us with basic customer information, but we require more detailed data so that we can target our campaigns more precisely -- according to vertical sector or even region – and in turn generate higher-quality leads for resellers as well as our own sales teams,” commented James Melville.

"With OneSource products, we can profile prospects based on company size and vertical sector, and we can identify the names of individual targets, including the Financial Director and IT/IS Manager," continued Melville. "The fact that OneSource provides the names of senior directors, as well as the key decision makers, is a major advantage that helps when reselling our larger, mid-range systems like the Line500."

"Moreover, because we access comprehensive information on a company and its markets, we are able to make quicker decisions on each prospect’s potential value and which Sage product best fits their business. This improves the targeting of every marketing campaign and provides our own sales teams with the information they need to make a sale.”

Stuart Small, Vice President of European Sales for OneSource, commented, "Access to accurate and relevant external business information improves the effectiveness of sales and marketing campaigns by helping companies like Sage be more responsive to customers. Professionals with accurate and timely knowledge of their customers develop closer and longer customer relationships, ultimately leading to improved bottom line results."
