Athens Academy is an independent, nonprofit college preparatory coeducational school founded in 1967. The school educates more than 850 students in prekindergarten through grade 12. Its curriculum includes mathematics, language arts, social studies, science and technology, business studies, computer science, English, music, drama, physical education, and arts and crafts. The school also offers advanced placement and honors courses in various subjects. It has athletic teams for football, basketball, cheerleading, swimming, baseball, cross country, soccer, golf, tennis and volleyball.
