Carlsbad Mental Health Center, established in 1985, offers a range of mental health services to adults and children in the area community. Located in Carlsbad, N.M., the center s services are provided by a team of more than 90 staff members, including psychiatrists, nurse specialist, masters level therapists, residential treatment assistants, rehabilitation specialist and paraprofessionals. The institution additionally maintains a 24-hour crisis line to address the crisis mental health needs of the community. This line offers confidential telephone crisis support and referral for interventions, such as for victims of sexual assault and abuse. The center also has a licensed and credentialed team of master level psychotherapists to provide individual and family counseling and therapy services.
