    AS a young boy I lived with my parents in Stirchley. One night, when I was seven years old, I was taken to the cinema on the Pershore Road at the bottom of Cartland Road. I have discovered that the Nazis produced their version of the Titanic disaster during the war as a propaganda exercise, but the film was never issued to the public in Germany.

    HAPPY DAY Married on August 6, 2011, at St Stephen's Church, Clanfield, Oxfordshire, were Samantha Stannard, and Gavin Cartland, formerly of Llansteffan. The reception was held at Friars Court, Clanfield, and the honeymoon was spent in Thailand. The happy couple have made their home in Faringdon, Oxfordshire.
