ARCA, founded in 1957, is a private nonprofit organization founded by parents seeking community-based services for their family members with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. Governed by a volunteer board of directors, it operates more than 100 residences in the community and serves over 400 individuals each year. Its focus remains to provide critical direct services to people with disabilities.
