    May 12-- ELLIE FORD-- daughter of Bill Ford and Lisa Ford-- and Joseph Cobb-- son of WDIV-TV co-anchor Carmen Harlan and Joseph Cobb-- are engaged, according to a source familiar with the matter who asked not to be named. Ellie Ford is a Princeton University psychology graduate, and, according to online profiles, works as a research assistant at the University of Michigan.

    Former Detroit Red Wings forward Shawn Burr, who has been battling leukemia for two years, is teaming up with the Michigan Dental Society and Leukemia and the Lymphoma Society to try and help build up the state's bone marrow registry. Burr, who suffers from acute myelogenous leukemia, was lucky enough to find a bone marrow match and will undergo a transplant soon.

    DEARBORN, Mich.-- A well-known Detroit- area hotel is expected to get a new name. WDIV-TV and The Detroit News report Monday that the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dearborn will no longer be operated under the Hyatt name starting at a future date. At the time, Chicago- based Hyatt Hotels Corp. agreed to continue to manage the hotel.

    DETROIT _ A warrant is being sought in the slayings of four Detroit women whose bodies were found in car trunks after three of them placed online escort ads. They were arrested in Sterling Heights, north of Detroit. The bodies of 24- year-old Demesha Hunt and her 23- year-old cousin, Renisha Landers, were found Dec. 19 in separate car trunks in Detroit.
