Antonio Zambelli ventured from Italy in 1893 to establish the Zambelli Fireworks Manufacturing Company in New Castle, Pa., which was to become a center for America's fireworks industry. The company eventually changed its name to Zambelli Fireworks Internationale. Subsequent generations of the family are known worldwide for setting some of the industry standards in the design and technology of fireworks.
