Joseph A. Ripp
Chief Executive Officer
Joe was appointed as President and Chief Operating Officer of Dendrite International, Inc. in November 2005. Dendrite was a leading supplier of sales, marketing, clinical and compliance solutions for the pharmaceutical industry with over 4,000 employees in 52 countries around the world. Joe operated the company for over 18 months until its sale in May 2007 to a major competitor for a price, which was twice its public trading value.
Prior to joining Dendrite Joe was Senior Vice President of Time Warner's Media & Communications Group. During his tenure in this position Joe worked to develop alternative strategies for Time Warner's America Online unit.
Joe's responsibilities at Time Warner, Inc. included America Online, where, as Vice Chairman from 2002 to 2004, he oversaw AOL's marketing, advertising, technology, network operations, call centers, human resources and legal departments. In this capacity he was directly responsible for revenues in excess of $7 billion and costs in excess of $5 billion. Joe is credited for launching an aggressive cost containment program at AOL, which reduced run rate costs by over $400 million per year. He is also credited with the development of AOL's safety and security line of products as well as many new innovative approaches to AOL's marketing efforts. He was previously AOL's Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to leading AOL and since he joined Time Warner in 1985, Joe held numerous senior positions, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Time Warner Inc. from 1999 to 2001, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Time Inc. At the time Joe was Chief Financial Officer, Time Warner's revenues were in excess of $30 billion.
Joe also served as the Chairman of the Board of the Journal Register Company until its sale to Alden Global Capital in 2011. Journal Register is a multi- platform media company that serves local news and information to over 900 communities in 10 states. Joe served on the Board of Directors of Greenfield Online, Inc. until it was sold in October 2008 to Microsoft. He has also served on the Board of Whittle Communications and American Express Publishing.
In the Not-for-profit world Joe serves on the Board of Trustees of Manhattan College, the Board of Directors of the Advertising Educational Foundation and the Board of Directors of Lighthouse International where he is Vice Chairman. He formerly served on the Executive Committee of the Advertising Council, Inc., the Board of Trustees of Gettysburg College and of A Better Chance, Inc. He is also a founding member of the Wilton Educational Foundation
Joe graduated from Manhattan College, Riverdale NY in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned his Master's of Business Administration from Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York in 1978. Joe lives in Wilton, CT with his wife Virginia.
Jonathan A. Flatow
President and Chief Operating Officer
Jonathan worked for Greenfield Online, Inc. (NASDAQ: SRVY) from 1999 to 2009, serving in the positions of Secretary, General Counsel and Vice President Corporate Development, Chief Administrative Officer and lastly as Chief Operating Officer. Jonathan was an integral part of the team that took Greenfield Online public in 2004 and later sell it to Microsoft Corporation in 2008. After Microsoft Corporation sold the online data collection division of Greenfield Online to ToLuna PLC in July, 2009, Jonathan served as Special Advisor to ToLuna's CEO and as a senior member of the ToLuna Integration Committee through the successful conclusion of the global integration of the two companies in March, 2010.
Prior to joining Greenfield Online, Inc., Jonathan was a partner in the law firm of Wake, See, Dimes & Bryniczka, which he joined in 1986 as an associate.
Jonathan holds a B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College and a J.D. from Pace University School of Law.
Robert E. Bies
Chief Financial Officer
Bob Bies, CFO of Cannondale Investments, is an entrepreneurial financial executive with over 26 years of progressive financial experience. Since 1997, Bob has raised over $700 million of funding in the form of private and public equity and debt facilities.
In late 1999, at the peak of the Dot Com boom, Bob was recruited by InSight Venture Partners, into Greenfield Online, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and helped to guide the company's transformation from a small online custom research business valued at $23 million in 1999, to a publicly-traded internet consumer opinion data collection and comparison shopping business (NASDAQ: SRVY) valued at $500 million in 2008, representing an over 20x increase in equity value.
Bob managed Greenfield Online's initial public offering in the summer of 2004 and oversaw Greenfield Online's M&A program during 2005, in which five companies were successfully merged within the course of six months (Greenfield Online, Opinion Surveys, Rapidata, GoZing and Ciao!). Bob was instrumental in instigating and executing the sale process that led to the $500 million purchase of Greenfield Online by Microsoft Corporation in October 2008.
Before Greenfield Online, Inc., Bob was with The Janis Group, Inc., serving as Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer between 1997 and 1999.
Prior to The Janis Group, Bob was employed by Bionaire as Senior Vice President and General Manager - Bionaire USA from 1990 to 1996.
Before Bionaire, Bob was employed by Faberge/Elizabeth Arden, serving as Controller from 1988 to 1990.
Prior to Faberge/Elizabeth Arden, Bob was employed by Deloitte, NY from 1984 to 1988, in the audit advisory services division, serving clients such as Merrill Lynch, Kidder Peabody and Faberge.
Bob holds a B.S. summa cum laude from Long Island University in Biochemistry 1982 and an M.B.A. with distinction in Certified Public Accounting from Hofstra University 1984.
Bob is a non-practicing certified public accountant licensed in New York.
Hank Weghorst
Chief Technology Officer
A veteran of multiple high-tech startups, Weghorst specializes in creating and growing business software companies. Since the 1990's, He has founded and served as CEO and/or executive team member on multiple venture funded companies.
Companies under his leadership have received start-up and follow-on financings totaling well over $100 million and have resulted in numerous successful M&A and IPO events. He has also held senior product development positions at other global software firms.
Recent technology start-ups include: Media Logic, iChat, Ventix Systems, Question Technologies, Troux Technologies and most recently x8 Data Company. Weghorst's technology expertise has centered around business productivity software, with emphasis on enterprise level deployments for communications, strategic planning, data and analytics.
Currently, Weghorst serves as an executive advisor to technology start-ups as well as serving on multiple university business school advisory committees. He has been published in numerous industry publications, authored technology books and has been awarded multiple technology patents. He holds a B.E.D. Texas A&M University and an M.S. from Cornell University.
Colleen Honan
Senior Vice President, Global Sales & Services
Colleen Honan, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services for OneSource Information Services, is responsible for the company's worldwide sales initiatives including direct, channel, go-to-market strategies, and alliances. Previously, Colleen held a variety of executive positions for which she consistently met revenue and new business goals.
Prior to joining OneSource, Colleen held customer service positions at Thomson Financial Networks.
A frequent industry speaker addressing sales processes and sales organization structures, Colleen earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Merrimack College, North Andover, MA.
James Rogers
Chief Marketing Officer
Rogers joins OneSource from Wolters Kluwer, where he led marketing for the SMBS division of CT Corporation. Prior to that, he served as vice president of marketing for the Hoover's subsidiary of Dun & Bradstreet. In that role, he was key to reestablishing Hoover's double-digit growth. In addition, he headed up integrated marketing efforts for the successful launch of D&B360, one of that firm's most strategic product launches in more than a decade.
Prior to Hoover's James served for more than five years in leadership roles at technology startup companies including Gravitant, where as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, he led those areas into new market opportunities. Prior to Gravitant, James set the strategic direction, marketing, product planning, and engineering for software company Blazent, an IT Outsourcing Governance leader. James also served as Chief Marketing Officer responsible for product strategy and global marketing programs at Troux Technologies, an industry leader in Enterprise Architecture and IT planning software.
James began his career leading marketing and product strategies for large service management software companies including Remedy Corporation and Peregrine Systems. James also headed marketing at Merant, as well as Serena Software, a global provider of Application Lifecycle Management software, where he was responsible for worldwide product and technical marketing and product management.
James holds a B.A. in Government (International Relations) from California State University in Sacramento.
Mary McCabe
Vice President, Product and Content Management
As Vice President of Product and Content Management , Mary McCabe leads the product and content teams responsible for defining OneSource's award winning iSell and Business Browser products and delivering the highest standards of content quality in the industry.
Mary has held numerous senior positions at OneSource which have included oversight of OneSource's product marketing, product management, and product development functions with responsibility for both product and technical strategy.
Mary is a summa cum laude graduate of Boston College School of Management with concentrations in Computer Science and Marketing.
Brad Palmer
Vice President, Product Engineering
As OneSource Information Service's Vice President of Product Engineering, Brad Palmer is responsible for the technology infrastructure that supports the OneSource product line and the Live Content platform.
While at OneSource, Brad has held various positions in the areas of customer support, client services, and engineering.
Brad holds a Bachelor's degree in business administration and a Master's degree in computer science from the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
